Cereus Forbesii 'Spiralis'
This variety of Cereus cactus grows upwards in a tight spiral. Its unusual shape makes it a very unusual houseplant.
Size: 11cm diameter x 17cm height
Origin: Peru or Argentina
Light: Bright indirect light
Temperature: Do not expose at temperatures below 7ºC.
Watering: Allow all the compost to dry between waterings when the plant is actively growing, usually from spring through autumn. Do not water in winter, unless you keep it under growing lights.
Feeding: Use half the recommended dose of a high potash liquid fertilizer every few weeks from spring through autumn.
Soil: Well-draining cactus compost.
Troubleshooting: Colour may fade or scorch marks may appear if continuously kept under strong direct sunlight. Keep in a very bright room but preferably away from direct sunlight.
Tip: We advise to keep cacti away from pets and children to avoid getting scratched.
Did you know? This cactus can grow up to 2 metres tall and it may bloom when it reaches a height of at least 40cm. The flowers open at night!
