Ceropegia woodii 'Orange River'
Ceropegia woodii 'Orange River' is a new, rare variety of the string of hearts plant we all know and love. This new variety has arrow-shaped, dark green leaves with silvery veins.
Size: 8 cm diameter
Light: Bright filtered sun or bright indirect light
Watering: Allow the top 2-3 cm of the compost to dry between waterings when the plant is actively growing, usually from spring through autumn. Allow all the compost to dry in winter when light levels are lower. We recommend watering all string of heart plants from the bottom so that the delicate leaves at the top of the plant don't get damaged by the water and the plant ends up "bald" at the top.
Feeding: Use half the recommended dose of a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks from spring through summer.
Soil: Cactus compost.
Troubleshooting: Leaves may lose their coloration if light levels are too low.
Tip: This plant is safe around pets. Keep it away from direct sunlight and drafts. You can display it in a hanging pot or on a high shelf and allow the stems to cascade down.
