Ficus 'Tineke' is famous for its glossy, creamy white variegated foliage and the dark pink spikes formed by new, unfurling leaves. This new variety of the all-time favourite rubber plant can grow up to 1.5m tall and easily become a statement plant for any room. Easy to care for as it is drought tolerant.

Humidity: Low to moderate

Temperature: 15-24ºC

Watering: Allow the top 2-3 cm of the compost to dry between waterings when the plant is actively growing, usually from spring through autumn. Reduce watering frequency in winter when light levels are lower.

Feeding: Use half the recommended dose of a balanced liquid fertilizer every few weeks from spring through autumn.

Soil: Soil-based compost with added perlite for drainage.

Tip: This plant can be toxic if ingested, so we advise to keep it away from pets and children. Direct sunlight can leave sunburn marks on the leaves. You can wipe dust from the leaves with a brush or dry cloth.

Troubleshooting: Brown marks along the edges of the leaves can be a sign of overwatering.

Did you know? Rubber plants earned their nickname due to to the shiny and rubbery appearance of their leaves as well as their sap, which is sometimes used to make rubber.
