Sansevieria trifasciata 'Grey Stripe'
Description
Sansevieria plants are almost bullet-proof. They thrive with neglect, which makes them ideal beginner plants. This unusual and striking variety, Sansevieria 'Grey Stripe', features pointy, chunky, dark green leaves with a contrasting grey, patterned stripe along the leave's edges.
Size: 12cm pot x 30cm height
Origin: Western Africa
Care
Light: Indirect light, medium light
Humidity: Low
Temperature: 14-26ºC
Watering: Allow the top 3 cm of the compost to dry between waterings when the plant is actively growing, usually from spring through autumn. Reduce watering frequency significantly in winter if light levels are lower.
Feeding: Use half the recommended strength of balanced liquid fertilizer every 6-8 weeks from spring through autumn, or whenever you can see active growth.
Soil: Cactus compost or well draining soil mix.
Troubleshooting: If exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time the colours in the leaves may start to look faded.
Tip: This plant can be toxic if ingested, so we advise to keep it away from pets and children. Direct sunlight can leave sunburn marks on the leaves. The roots of Sansevierias like it snug, so when repotting choose a pot that just about fits the root ball.
